Good morning, Mets fans!
The Braves have signed 2022 All-Star Garrett Cooper to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training. Cooper split time between the Cubs and Red Sox in 2024, batting .206/.267/.299 with one homer in 116 plate appearances. He also played briefly for the Norfolk Tides in the Orioles organization, posting a .914 OPS in 84 plate appearances. Cooper spent six seasons with the Marlins and torched the Mets during that time, owning a career .939 OPS with 10 homers in 38 games against them – more than he has against any other team.
