Good morning, Mets fans!

The Braves beat the Phillies Wednesday night 3-0 behind six scoreless innings from Kyle Wright and a save from Kenley Jansen to even the series at 1-1. Additionally, Clayton Kershaw allowed three runs in five innings against the Padres, who tied up the series 1-1. Manny Machado had a solo home run in the first inning and an RBI double in the third inning and Josh Hader had a four-out save to lead the Padres to victory.

The NL teams will get a day off while the AL teams return to action today. The Astros play the Mariners at 3;37 p.m. ET, and the Yankees play the Guardians at 7:37 p.m. ET.

1999: Kenny Rogers had pitched five shaky but scoreless innings against the Braves in game two of the NLCS, but it all fell apart in the sixth inning. The Gambler gave up a walk, a home run, a single, and then another home run to put the Mets in a 4-2 deficit that they could not come back from.

2006: Carlos Delgado had four RBIs and two home runs against reigning NL Cy Young champion Chris Carpenter and the Cardinals in game two of the NLCS. But his efforts were overshadowed by Guillermo Mota and Billy Wagner combining to allow five runs in the final three innings to give the Cardinals a 9-6 win.
