The Mets posted pictures and video of the Mets getting in their workouts and bullpen sessions at summer camp Friday. There was a video they posted to Twitter of Jacob deGrom and others during their bullpen sessions.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post took pictures at the Mets summer camp and found staff members cleaning the baseballs before and after they were used.

Most of MLB‘s coronavirus test results have been completed and the results, so far, show that out of 3,185 tests performed, 38 game back positive. Of those 38 positive cases, 31 of them were from MLB players, and seven were from staff members. Within these findings, the MLB has confirmed that 19 different clubs have had one or more people test positive, those of which include players or staff members at the stadiums.

Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reported that the Brewers’ are still awaiting test results, as are the Oakland Athletics as reported by Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Welington Castillo has opted out of the 2020 season as mentioned by the manager Dave Martinez and reported on MLB Trade Rumors.

Do-Hyoung Park of MLB reported that Willians Astudillo and one other player tested positive for COVID on the Minnesota Twins. Astudillo is asymptomatic and quarantined, currently. Park also mentioned that before coming to camp two minor league players in the Twins system had tested positive, Edwar Colina and Nick Gordon. Colina has since tested negative but the Twins remain cautious.

San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham tested positive for the coronavirus.

Texas Rangers’ lefty Brett Martin has tested positive for the virus.

Indians outfielder Delino DeShields  has also tested positive for COVID-19.

Mike Trout is still concerned about starting baseball during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Trout referenced his baby on the way as the reason for his concern, “Honestly, I still don’t feel comfortable with the baby coming.” Alden Gonzalez of ESPN wrote an article elaborating on the thoughts and concerns Trout voice on Friday.

Given the shortened 2020 MLB season, there will not be an All-Star Game in 2020. MLB.com reported that since there is no All-Star Game this season, the event will be held in Los Angeles in 2022 instead. The ASG will be in Atlanta in 2021.

According to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle, Alex Bregman hired Scott Boras to represent him.

David O’Brien of the Athletic stated that the Braves were among the 19 teams with one positive coronavirus test, it has not been revealed who the player is.

The Philadelphia Phillies have added three players to their player pool for 2020 including former Met Anthony Swarzak, Logan O’Hoppe, and Henri Lartigue, Jim Salisbury of NBCSports reported the additions.
