The Mets have a chance to take the series today against the Rockies. After dropping the first game in a back and forth affair at the end of the game, the Mets won yesterday in a come from behind fashion. The Mets bullpen which has mostly been a garbage fire this season, recorded 6 shutout innings in Coors Field, evidence that anything can happen in baseball. Today Rafael Montero will look to get the job done against German Marquez.

Notes –
The Mets bullpen fired 6.0 scoreless innings last night, that’s the longest scoreless relief outing at Coors Field by a visiting bullpen since the Padres’ pen had an 8 inning, no-run performance there on April 10, 2010. New York’s pen is 5-1 with five saves and a 2.70 ERA (15 earned
runs/50.0 innings) since July 18.
Chasen Bradford became the 352nd different pitcher to win a game in a Mets uniform last night.
Jay Bruce has 174 RBI since the beginning of the 2016 season, tied for the fifth-most in the National League over that span with Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado (228), Anthony Rizzo (179), Adam Duvall (178) and Daniel Murphy (177) have more.
Let’s Go Mets!
