The New York Mets travel to Arlington for a two-game exhibition series beginning on Friday night against the Texas Rangers.
Jacob deGrom will start for the Mets and will be opposed by former Met Logan Verrett for the Rangers in tonight’s 8:05 PM matchup. The game will not be televised but can be seen for free on MLB.tv.
Pitching coach Dan Warthen said Rafael Montero may get some bullpen exposure in the game.
Daniel Murphy went 3-4 with a double and a walk in a minor league game in Port St. Lucie. He played second base and ran the bases. Terry Collins still expects Daniel Murphy to be active Opening Day.
