This has been a series to forget for the Mets. After dropping the first three games to the Nationals in a four game set before winning the last one, the Mets have done the same thing in LA so far, by dropping the first three games (or for the pessimist, losing 6 of their last 7). The Mets will look to reverse the situation tonight with Steven Matz.

Notes –
The Mets have faced three lefties during this series (including tonight) and will face two more lefthanded starters at San Francisco. That will conclude a stretch of facing eight lefthanded starters over a span of 14 games. New York is 6-9 vs. left-handed starters this year.
Steven Matz has worked 7.0 innings in each of his first two starts this year. He has never gone 7.0 innings or more in three straight starts. The last Mets starter to work 7.0 or more innings in each of his first two starts of the year was Matt Harvey in 2013 (who had a streak of four starts to begin the year).
The last time the Mets were swept in a fourgame series by the Dodgers was May 7-10, 1979 at Los Angeles. New York has been swept in four series this season.
The Mets have selected the contract of RHP Chasen Bradford from Las Vegas and optioned Tyler Pill to the 51s.
Let’s Go Mets!
