The New York Mets have selected the contract of right-handed reliever Chase Bradford from the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s.

Bradford, 27, is a sinkerballer that has a 4.26 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and nine saves for the 51s this year. He has pitched in parts of four seasons for Las Vegas. He was a 35th round pick of the Mets in the 2011 draft.

Right-handed starter Tyler Pill has been optioned back down to Las Vegas after giving up five earned runs in six innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night in the Mets 8-2 loss.

To make room for Bradford on the 40-man roster, the Mets moved left-hander Tommy Milone to the 60-day disabled list.
