Yesterday was forgettable, so lets forget it. Logan Verrett made the spot start and after the Mets went up quickly 2-0, things started to fall apart as the Brewers went on a homer spree, five of them to be exact.

Matz leads all major league rookies in wins (seven)  and ERA (2.39 – minimum 35.0 innings) and is third with 61  strikeouts. He was named the National League Rookie of the  Month for May when he went 4-0 with  a 1.83 ERA.

Steven Matz will try to take the series from the Brew Crew for the Orange and Blue Crew today. Matz is 7-2 over 10 starts and 60.1 innings this year with a 2.39 ERA.

He faced the Brewers earlier this season allowing 2 ER over 7.0 innings while striking out 8. The Brewers have the following numbers against him:
