Chris Bassitt has made 16 starts totaling 96 innings this season with a 3.94 ERA, 3.79 FIP, 1.135 WHIP and a 101 ERA+. Bassitt ended up as the losing pitcher his last time out despite a strong outing where he held the Marlins to two runs on six hits while walking no one. It was his first start since landing on the Covid-related IL. Overall in his last four starts he has pitched 27 2/3 innings allowing eight runs (2.60 ERA) from 20 hits and only three walks while striking out 24 batters.
