Notes:

Jay Bruce is making his Spring Training debut this afternoon. He has been sidelined with plantar fasciitis.

Yoenis Cespedes is sidelined with a sore shoulder.

“It’s something that I’m not worried about,” Cespedes said Tuesday through a translator, adding that his shoulder gets like this at the beginning of every Spring Training because he spends the offseason not throwing.

“I’m used to that,” he said. “It’s not something I should be concerned or worried (about).”

Dominic Smith is suffering with a strained right quad, but resumed hitting Tuesday.
