If last night was deGrom’s last game of the season, then it was a very good one. Jacob tossed 8.0 scoreless innings allowing only 2 hits and striking out 10, lowering his absurd ERA to 1.70 capping off one of the top seasons by a Mets pitcher for all time. The Mets bats managed to squeeze out a few runs and deGrom will finish with a winning record, something that doesn’t really matter but apparently matters to the people voting. Also Conforto hit his 28th homer of the season as he inches closer to 30.
