Good afternoon, Mets fans.

It feels like we have been beating a dead horse with Manny Machado and how a deal has felt imminent for a week now, but at this point, it truly feels like a deal is going to be done any second.

Here’s the latest on the Orioles slugger…

According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, Baltimore are going through the required medicals and paperwork in order to finalize a deal with an unspecified team.

The two teams that seem most likely at this point are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies, though the Arizona Diamondbacks, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees have all been in on the infielder at various points recently.

The Dodgers reportedly have included top prospect Yusniel Diaz in their offer and are considered the leading contenders at this point.

We will see what happens. Regardless, Machado will appear in tonight’s All-Star game in Baltimore Orioles gear. We will keep you up to date with the status of Machado as more news breaks.

Phillies In on J.A. Happ?

While Toronto Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ has hit the skids recently, he is still one of the more appealing starters on the trade market this year.

The 35-year-old began his career with the Phillies back in 2007, and has also played with the Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates and aforementioned Jays over the span of 12 years.

He was selected to his first All-Star game this season in his walk year, and is likely to be traded to a contender. According to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Phillies are weighing a possible pursuit of the left-hander.

Braves Ink Former Met Salas

The Braves made a couple minor league deals, signing Fernando Salas and Lane Adams.

The former spent the latter half of 2016 and beginning of the 2017 season with the Mets.

After coming over in a trade with the Angels in 2016, Salas thrived out of the Mets bullpen, but was a disaster when they re-signed him for 2017.

He spent the beginning of this year with the Diamondbacks, but was cut after struggling there too.
