According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, teams are telling their players to get ready in anticipation of an announcement about the 2020 Major League Baseball season coming soon.
Passan notes that Major League Baseball is expected to send a return-to-play proposal to the MLB Players Association within a week.
There’s been multiple ideas floated including one having teams playing only in Arizona and Florida, but Passan reports that there is momentum towards the possibility of playing games at each team’s home stadium.
Spring Training could begin in mid-June with the possibility of Opening Day at some point in early July.
