The criticisms of the Michael Cuddyer signing continue to pile on. Jayson Stark of ESPN polled MLB executives around the league on what was the worst signing this offseason, and Cuddyer was ranked as one of the worst.

A total of 8 executives named Cuddyer as the worst signing this Winter. Only Hanley Ramirez, Brett Anderson and Max Scherzer‘s deals were considered more unfavorable.

Earlier this week, Fangraphs rated the Cuddyer signing as the 5th worst move this offseason.

The Mets signed Cuddyer to a 2 year, $21 million dollar contract back in November, which also cost New York their first round pick, 15th overall.

Cuddyer batted .332 with a .955 OPS last year with Colorado, but his season was limited to just 49 games due to several costly injuries.
