GEE FORCE

Game Summary

Despite two rain delays, Mets pitching combined for a two-hit shutout against the Braves. Gee gets robbed of his eighth win because of the rain, bullpen was perfect, and Pagan hits a homerun to lead the offense. But the best news is that the Mets are finally back at .500 for the first time since May 20th. Mets win 4-0 over Braves.

Game Notes

Dillon Gee pitched a good start for what the weather would allow him to pitch. Like the guys in the booth mentioned, he seems to be the only pitcher comfortable to pitch up in the strike zone. He continues to really work in that nice changeup as pitching from the far left of the mound helps him with that against right handers. The weather kept him from getting his eighth win but, Gee did do a good job on the mound regardless. Gee got four innings in, with only one hit given up, two walks, and struck out five batters. He walks away with a no decision. Mets are now 10-0 in Dillon Gee starts

DJ Carrasco got the call to replace Gee once the game resumed. He pitched a perfect two innings with one K. Good to see he’s having a nice return to the majors. Bobby Parnell had a great relief outing as well, striking out five in two innings with only one hit given up. Frankie had his 27th game finished, one step closer to his option renewal. He pitched a 1-2-3 inning.

Reyes and Pagan had the two biggest hits in the game. Reyes 1-4, double, run, RBI. Pagan 2-4, HR, 2 RBIs, run.

Bay 2-4, SB

Duda 0-3, run, walk, 2 Ks

Turning Point

Pagan’s two-run HR was nice.

Game Ball

All of the pitching. Quite a spectacle.
