Jose Bautista‘s 2018 tour around the National League East continued on Tuesday.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Mets have struck a deal to trade Bautista to the Philadelphia Phillies. Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports adds that the deal is for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Bautista, 38 in October, signed on with the Mets in May after he was cut loose by the Atlanta Braves.

In 83 games during his time with New York, the outfielder hit to a .204/.351/.367 clip with nine homers and 37 RBI.

Yesterday, it was reported that the Phillies had put in a claim for the Mets’ veteran, and the two teams had until 1 p.m. today to complete a deal.

With just minutes left to go before the waivers were set to expire, the two NL East rivals agreed to a deal.
