Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Mets have agreed to terms with free agent Todd Frazier on a two-year, $17 million contract. The deal is pending a physical.

The contract also states that Frazier would receive $500,000 if traded.

Frazier, 31, hit .213/.344/.428 with 27 home runs and 76 RBIs in 147 games for the White Sox and Yankees in 2017. Since 2015 he ranks 12th in the Majors with 102 home runs.

He will almost certainly be the every day third baseman which means Asdrubal Cabrera will most likely play second base.
