The Mets announced on Twitter Sunday that they have placed right-handed pitcher Jacob Rhame on the injured list with elbow discomfort and recalled left-hander Donnie Hart from Triple-A Syracuse.

Rhame, 26, has appeared in five games for the Mets this year and owns a 4.26 ERA in 6.1 innings pitched. The Georgia native was just recalled from Triple-A on Saturday when New York sent Tyler Bashlor down.

Hart, 29 next month, was claimed off waivers by the Mets on Saturday from the Milwaukee Brewers. The southpaw has pitched in four games this season for the Brew Crew, and has not allowed a run in 6.2 innings pitched.

The Texas native originally debuted in 2016 with the Baltimore Orioles, whom he pitched with through 2018.

Hart’s best season came in 2017 when he appeared in 51 games out of Baltimore’s bullpen and registered a 3.71 ERA, 4.49 FIP and struck out 29 in 43.2 innings pitched.

Hart will wear No. 68 and be available for Sunday’s series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
