The Mets’ game against the Phillies was postponed due to rain for the second straight day Saturday. Deesha Thosar of the NY Daily News was to first to report the news, which came from stadium workers at Citizens Bank Park.

The teams will now play a doubleheader Sunday at 12:35 p.m. The game that was postponed Friday was rescheduled for August 20. If they do indeed get the doubleheader in Sunday, it will still be a three-game series in place of what was supposed to be four games over four days.

The Mets haven’t played since their thrilling 8-7 comeback win on Thursday, which saw them come back from a 7-0 deficit. They’ll have to ride the high of that victory just a little longer.

The Mets are still tied for the most wins in baseball with 19. The Brewers could temporarily take that title away from the Mets if they win tonight.
