Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com reports that the New York Mets have outrighted Rajai Davis to Triple-A Syracuse.

Davis, 38, had his contract selected last Wednesday and hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer after having to take an uber all the way from Lehigh, Pennsylvania.

The outfielder appeared in four games with the Mets in which he recorded two hits, including the home run, in seven at-bats.

On Sunday, the team DFA’d Davis after Michael Conforto returned from the seven-day injured list. However, Davis managed to clear waivers and accepted an outright assignment back to Syracuse and is not on the 40-man roster.

In 37 games in Triple-A, Davis is hitting .277/.344/.403 with three home runs and seven RBI on the year.
