Dillon Gee moved to 5-1 after pitching a complete game giving up two runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Threw just 99 pitches (69 strikes) and produced eleven ground ball outs, lowered his ERA to 5.44 in Vegas.

Brandon Nimmo had a successful AAA debut going 1-2 with two walks, scored a run, and picked up his first RBI on a sac fly, he batted 6th while playing the whole game in center field. Here is video of his single. Travis Taijeron was 2-5 with his 16th double and four RBI but did strikeout three times. Darrell Ceciliani was 3-6 with two doubles, three runs, and three RBI. Dilson Herrera was 2-3 with walk, RBI, and a run scored, he now has seven walks in his last seven games.

The 51’s roughed up former Atlanta Brave for eight runs in 3.1 innings moving their lead for first place to 4.5 games over El Paso. Box Score

Binghamton (56-46) 3, New Britain 0

Michael Fulmer continued his dominant season pitching 6 scoreless innings allowing only three hits with nine strikeouts and zero walks. He pounded the strike zone all need throwing 85 pitches with 60 of them for strikes. Here is video of the his last strikeout.

Michael moved to 6-2 for Binghamton while lowering his ERA to an Eastern League leading 1.88. He is also 6th in the league with his 1.12 WHIP and 10th with his 83 strikeouts despite barely having enough innings to qualify for leaderboards after starting season in St. Lucie.

Jeff Walters made his 2nd appearance with the B’Mets pitching a perfect 7th inning with two strikeouts in his return from TJS. Jon Velasquez pitched a shutdown 8th inning with one strikeout to lower his AA ERA to 1.99. Paul Sewald did what he always does, pitching a scoreless 9th with two strikeouts to pick up his 16th save of the season.

After losing both of their star outfielders the B’Mets will have to rely on their veteran hitters and young double play combo to keep scoring runs. Last night the newcomer Jonathan Galvez paced the offense going 3-3 with a walk, double, and drove in two runs while playing left field. Veteran Joe Benson was 2-4 with a double, run scored, and a RBI. Gavin Cecchini was 1-3 with a walk, he is 15-46 over his last 10 ten games. L.J. Mazzilli was 0-3 with a walk and a run scored. St. Lucie (51-50) 8, Daytona 4

Dominic Smith was 2-4 with his league leading 28th double and three RBI giving up 58 on the season which is tied for 3rd in Florida State League. Matt Oberste was 2-4 with two runs scored and hit his 4th homerun of the season, he has 7 RBI in his last five games. Stefan Sabol was 1-3 with a walk, two runs, and his 2nd homerun of the season for St. Lucie.

Maikis De La Cruz was 1-3 with walk, run, RBI, and his 12th double of the season. Yeixon Ruiz and Colton Plaia each had two hits on the night while Jeff McNeil was 1-4. Jhoan Urena was 0-3 with a walk and Amed Rosario remains on the DL with his wrist injury.

Mickey Jannis picked up his first win in the Mets system going 8 innings allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out seven. He now has a 3.95 ERA in 27.1 innings to start his Met career. Box Score

Reigning SAL player of the week John Mora was 1-4 with a walk, two runs scored, and his 5th homerun of the season. Michael Katz was 2-4 with his fourth homerun in as many games, he as 14 RBI over that span. Wuilmer Becerra was 2-4 with a run scored and two RBI giving him 40 for the season. Eudor Garcia went 1-4 with walk, run, and his 42nd RBI for the year.

Michael Gibbons collected his first Sand Gnats win going 6.2 innings allowing ten hits but didn’t give up an earned run (four unearned) while striking out five. He is now 3-4 with 3.38 ERA in 8 starts that spans over four different levels in the Mets system. Cameron Griffin pitched a scoreless 9th to get his 5th save of the season. Box Score

Hudson Valley 4, Brooklyn (19-17) 3 F/10 Walk-Off

Brooklyn lost in a heartbreaker when catcher Brandon Brosher was called for catcher interference on what ended up being the game-winning sac fly. Vinny Siena had half the Cyclones hits going 3-5 with his 4th double, run scored, and his 8th RBI of the season. David Thompson was 0-4 while playing 3rd base and hitting 4th.

Chris Flexen made the start going 4.1 innings giving up three runs on six hits while collecting eighth strikeouts. Corey Taylor pitched a perfect 8th inning with one strikeout, he has yet to allow a run in 11 innings to start his career. Box Score

Pulaski 14, Kingsport (17-17) 9

The Mets bullpen gave up nine runs in the 8th inning to cough up a 9-5 lead. Dash Winningham was 1-6 with a grand slam for his 6th homerun of the season. Milton Ramos made his return to Kingsport going 1-5 with a run scored while playing shortstop. Kevin Kaczmarski was 2-6 with a double and two runs scored while Patrick Mazeika was 1-4.
