  • The Mets are sending Omar Quintanilla to New York says Andy Martino via Twitter. The 31-year old was pulled from the Las Vegas 51s game tonight following the injury to Ruben Tejada.
  • Josh Satin is clearly the most worthy of getting a shot at first base if the team ultimately decides to demote Ike Davis. He must smell blood in the water, because he was 4-for-5 last night, with four RBI. He’s batting .316 this year with 8 home runs and 31 RBI. Satin also gets on base over 40% of the time.
  • Allan Dykstra is trying to keep his name relevant in the search for the Mets’ future first baseman. Dykstra stroked another home run and added three RBI in last night’s loss to Altoona. He’s batting .307 with six homers and 31 RBI on the year. He leads Binghamton in batting average (.307), RBI (31), OBP (.449), OPS (.996), and is second on the team in home runs (6).
  • Dustin Lawley cranked out his 11th home run of the year last night. He now leads the organization with home runs and RBI (40).
  • Alex Panteliodis has been solid since coming off the disabled list in early May. In 26.2 innings pitched, he has a 2.03 ERA and 18 strikeouts to only six walks.
