It was a big night in the Mets minor leagues with the home run ball led by Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies infielder Jose Peroza with three.

Triple-A: Buffalo (14-20) 10, Syracuse (15-19) 9, F/10 Box Score

Mauricio had five batted balls of at least 100 mph on the night. Vientos is now tied with Christopher Morel (promoted to big leagues on Tuesday) and Keston Hiura for second in the International League with 11 home runs.

Tim Locastro homered for the second straight night and Abraham Almonte homered in his first game with Syracuse.

The Mets signed veteran catcher Gary Sánchez to a minor league deal and he expects to make his Syracuse debut in the coming days.

David Peterson was supposed to start this game for Syracuse but he filled in for the ailing Max Scherzer at the major league level.

Double-A: Hartford (14-12) 11, Binghamton (11-15) 9 Box Score

Peroza had a career game with three home runs, five RBIs, and was on base five times without making an out. The 22-year-old has played second base, shortstop, and third base for Binghamton this year.

Outfielder Brandon McIlwain and infielder Luke Ritter each had two hits in the game.

Carrasco was making a rehab start for Binghamton. Carrasco threw only 33 pitches during the outing, but said he’s ready to rejoin the Mets.

Hamel and Parsons combined to allow six runs in the top of the ninth inning.

Second baseman Kevin Kendall hit a game-winning sac fly in the top of the 11th inning. Parada, one of the Mets first round picks last year, has a 1.015 OPS in seven May games.

Scott, the Mets’ fifth round pick in 2021, was making his first start of the season with Brooklyn after spending April in extended spring training.  Gervase (11.2 IP) and Juarez (9.1 IP) continued their scoreless streaks to begin the season.

Low-A: St. Lucie (8-20) 3, Daytona (9-19) 2 Box Score

It was the second home run of the season for the 19-year-old Reimer. The 2022 fourth round pick has an impressive 15-walk-to-17-strikeout ratio. Jett Williams was still out of the lineup following getting hit by a pitch on his left elbow last week.

The 21-year-old Ramirez has issued just six walks and struck out 26 in 27 2/3 innings this year.
