Triple-A: Buffalo (15-21) 6, Syracuse (16-20) 5 Box Score

Mauricio hit his league-leading 14th double at 111.5 mph and his single at 113.3 mph. We should note that Mauricio has only two walks (one intentional) compared to 20 strikeouts over his last 26 games.

Sánchez slugged his first home run with Syracuse and is now 4-for-7 with two walks in two games since the Mets signed him to a minor league deal. Cedrola is third in the Mets minor league with 12 stolen bases and hasn’t been caught yet this year.

Right-hander Bubby Rossman and left T.J. McFarland combined to give up four runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Double-A: Hartford (15-14) 4, Binghamton (13-16) 3 F/10 Box Score

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies went 0-for-14 with runners in scoring position on the night.

  • RHP Mike Vasil 8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 2.70 ERA
  • RHP Dylan Hall 2 IP, 0 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 1 K, Loss, 0.00 ERA

I don’t think there’s any doubt that Mike Vasil is the best pitching prospect in the Mets farm system right now. Coming into the season, I had him ranked No. 9 on my Mets prospect list coming into the season and noted he might be ready for the big leagues for the 2023 season is over. This season, his 2.70 ERA and 0.70 WHIP are impressive, but the key stat might be his 41 strikeouts to only 4 walks ratio.

High-A: Brooklyn (11-16) 2, Wilmington (14-15) 1 Box Score

The Cyclones won the game despite going 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position. That one hit was a double off the bat of DH Chase Estep in the top of the ninth to drive in the winning run.

Before the game started, things got a little weird with the Cyclones updating the lineup with Alex Ramirez scratched and then updated the lineup a little later with Kevin Parada scratched.

Foster, Mets’ 14th round pick in 2022, didn’t allow any runs for the first time in his pro career.

Low-A: Daytona (11-20) 9, St. Lucie (8-22) 3 Box Score

Shortstop/center field prospect Jett Williams continues to sit out after getting hit by a pitch in the left elbow last week.

The 23-year-old Hardy was making his season debut. He had a 2.79 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 29 innings last season between St. Lucie and Brooklyn.
