Rowdey Jordan hit a bases-loaded two-RBI double to earn a walk-off win for the Rumble Ponies behind another great Joander Suarez start. Mike Vasil tossed a gem for Triple-A Syracuse.

Triple-A

Syracuse Mets 8, Worcester Red Sox 5 Box Score

Syracuse had an all-hands-on-deck approach today, with six different batters getting an RBI. Jose Peroza, in his first Triple-A game, had a great debut with a home run and two RBI.

Mike Vasil, after a rough start to September, had an outstanding outing before appearing to lose steam in the seventh inning. Thomas inherited both of the runs on the ledger against Vasil, and he let them come around to score.

Double-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies 2, Reading Fighting Phils 1 Box Score

The offense was quiet until the ninth inning, with only two Drew Gilbert doubles and a Mateo Gil single accounting for hits until that point. The Rumble Ponies had a single and two walks before Rowdey Jordan hit his game-ending two-RBI double.

Joander Suarez continues his outstanding performance in Double-A and has still yet to give up a run. Suarez has not allowed a run in his last four starts, spanning 24 innings and has given up only four hits in that span.

Brendan Hardy had a strong outing, but allowed a solo home run that gave Reading the lead. Paul Gervase notched his fifth straight scoreless outing in Double-A. Gervase has now faced 40 batters in Double-A and has struck out 20 of them. The 23-year-old has 96 strikeouts in 57 innings this season.
