The Mets made a ton of roster moves in the minor leagues on Tuesday that included Brett Baty being promoted to Triple-A, right-handed pitcher Yennsy Diaz being released, and a handful of the Mets’ 2022 draft picks getting their first assignments. Mets’ 2022 second round pick Blade Tidwell made his pro debut in the FCL.

AAA: Buffalo (55-50) 4, Syracuse (47-59) 3 Box Score

While Dom Smith is rehabbing and Baty was making his Triple-A Debut, the offensive show was stolen by minor league veteran Daniel Palka with two blasts. Palka is third in the Mets minor leagues with 20 home runs, trailing Álvarez’s 23 and Ronny Mauricio‘s 21.

Diehl was making his third appearance for Syracuse since coming over in the deal from the Reds that also netted the Mets outfielder Tyler Naquin.

AA: Altoona (49-54) 6, Binghamton (39-63) 0 Box Score

Mauricio has shown a ton of power this season with a career-high in doubles (21) and home runs (21), but his on-base percentage for the year is down to .286 for Binghamton.

Lugo was part of the flurry of Mets minor league roster moves on Tuesday. The 20-year-old has a .778 OPS on the season while playing first base, third base, and shortstop.

Griffin gave the Cyclones a much-needed long relief outing after starter Oscar Rojas was only able to get five outs.

Low-A: St. Lucie (61-41) 9, Clearwater (47-55) 2 Box Score

De Los Santos is fourth in minor league baseball with 57 stole bases, but he has also struck out 122 times this season. Dominguez leads the Florida State League with 17 home runs and is second with 139 strikeouts.

Diaz, still just 18, struggled to start his full season career, however, he’s allowed only four baserunners and struck out 11 in his last two starts spanning 11 innings.

Gervase, the Mets 12th round pick this year, struck out the first three batters he faced in full season ball. He threw 14 pitches with six being called strikes and getting whiffs on all three pitches the opponents swung at. His fastball was up to 96 mph and mixed in a curve, slider, and changeup.

Walker continued his rehab assignment after missing most of the season. The big lefty was in major league camp with the Mets this year.

Florida Complex League: FCL Mets (27-18) 8, FCL Astros (12-31) 4 Box Score

Williams, one of the Mets two first rounders this year, was making his pro debut at shortstop and his second game overall. Thomas was the Mets 11th round pick this year.

The Mets took Tidwell in the second round with the No. 52 overall pick this year. His fastball was 94-97 mph during his pro debut.
