The Mets big league club is off on Thursday, so let’s check out what the top prospects are doing in the minor leagues. Well, not all of them, as Ronny Mauricio is joining the Mets on Friday, and Brett Baty will rejoin the team as well. Right-handed pitcher José Butto will be with the Mets on Friday, too.

All games can be watched on MiLB tv, which I would highly recommend.

Triple-A: Syracuse (52-73) vs. Lehigh Valley (67-59) 6:45 PM Gameday

Outfield prospect Brandon McIlwain homered on Wednesday, his fifth home run and 12th extra-base hit in only 23 games since being promoted to Syracuse. Fellow outfield prospect Carlos Cortes has a 1.046 OPS in August.

Pitchers Tyler Jay and David Griffin have been added to the Syracuse roster. Infielders Jaylen Palmer and Chase Estep have been as well.

Double-A: Harrisburg (55-66) vs. Binghamton (63-57) 6:35 PM Gameday

Right-hander Joander Suarez will make his Double-A debut as the starter for Binghamton.

The top of the Binghamton lineup features arguably their top three prospects, Luisangel Acuña, Drew Gilbert, and Kevin Parada.

Binghamton leads Portland by three games for a playoff spot.

High-A: Brooklyn (60-60) vs. Greenville (60-61) 5:00 PM, Game 1 Gameday

Brooklyn and Greenville will play two games on Thursday, starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. The Cyclones have a half-game lead over Jersey Shore for a playoff spot.

Shortstop/outfield prospect Jett Williams walked twice in the Cyclones last game to bring his total for the season up to 93, that number is tied for sixth among all minor leaguers this season.

Low-A: St. Lucie (40-79), Tampa (57-63) Gameday

St. Lucie and Tampa will try to play their first game of the week after Hurricane Idalia canceled the first two.

Two-way player Nolan McLean was added to the St. Lucie roster today. He was taken in the third round by the Mets in the 2023 draft.
