Andy Martino of SNY is reporting that the Mets have sent request to interview the Twins assistant GM Daniel Adler and Red Sox executive Raquel Ferreira for the Mets front office.

Martino also notes that the Mets requested to talk to Dodgers executive Jeff Kingston, but were denied permission by LA.

Adler, 34, has been in the Twins organization since 2017. He was the director of baseball operations for two years before being promoted the assistant GM in November of 2019.

The Harvard Business School grad also worked for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars for two years as their director of football research.

Raquel Ferreira is currently the executive vice president and assistant manager of the Red Sox, she reports directly to CBO Chaim Bloom. She has worked in the Red Sox organization for 23 years.

I mentioned Raquel as a possible candidate in our most recent podcast after numerous people in baseball reached out to say she would be a great hire for the Mets. The Undefeated did an article back in 2019 on Ferreira’s path in Major League Baseball.

The Mets are essentially in their third round of candidates after missing out on the big three (Billy Beane, Theo Epstein, and David Stearns) and then not being able to secure one from their next group that included Giants GM Scott Harris and Brewers GM Matt Arnold.
