RENO 10, LAS VEGAS 7
Rafael Montero had his shortest outing of the season, and the Las Vegas bullpen falters in extra innings as the Reno Aces take down the 51’s 10-7 in eleven innings in the final game of the four-game series. Montero lasted just four innings giving up four runs on six hits while walking three. He did add six punchouts en route to the no-decision. The 51’s pitching staff was having a hard time keeping the Aces off the bases allowing 17 hits and walking 10. Jeff Walters would come in to pitch the eleventh inning without recording an out. After allowing singles to the first two batters he faced, Walters served up a walk-off three-run home run to Didi Gregorius over the right field fence ending the 51’s six-game win streak. Las Vegas did have some offense to speak of with three players having multi-hit games including Anthony Seratelli who went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season. Las Vegas starts a four-game series with the El Paso Chihuahuas on Saturday.
NEW HAMPSHIRE 6, BINGHAMTON 3
After fighting back from a 3-run deficit, the Binghamton Mets dropped the second game of the series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The B-Mets were trailing 3-0 until a sloppy inning by New Hampshire got them back into the game. They would eventually lose after a poor outing by relief pitcher Jon Velasquez. Velasquez allowed three runs on three hits and also walked a batter in his one inning of work when he came in in the ninth inning. Darin Gorski was moderately effective going six innings but was subject to the long ball by New Hampshire as they got him for three home runs. Cody Satterwhite came in and threw two solid innings in relief before the wheels came off in the ninth. Kevin Plawecki had a decent night at the plate going 2-for-4, but it was Matt Clark and Wilfredo Tovar who would get the B-Mets on the board. Tomorrow is another day and both teams will be back at it Saturday at NYSEG Stadium. (box score)
ST. LUCIE 15, FORT MYERS 9
If you were hoping for a classic battle between pitchers, Hammond Stadium was not the place. The St. Lucie Mets and Fort Myers slugged it out scoring a combined 24 runs on 31 hits. When the dust settled and home plate got a rest from being stepped on so much, the Mets came out on top. Falling behind 4-0 early, the Mets would send 12 batters to the plate in the second inning scoring seven runs to take the lead 7-4. Fort Myers would come back within one until two consecutive 3-run innings by the Mets would seal the deal. Michael Fulmer who was coming off a solid outing six days ago, lasted just two innings giving up eight runs on nine hits. The Mets were going to need some innings eaten up since Fulmer didn’t last long, and they got them from Seth Lugo. Lugo gave St. Lucie five solid picking up his first win of the season. Seven Mets hitters would have multi-hit games including a 4-for-6, 3 RBI night from T.J. Rivera.Center fielder Brandon Nimmo had another huge night going 4-for-5 with a walk, triple, two RBI, and three runs scored. Saturday will wrap up the three-game series between these two teams.

The game between the Sand Gnats and the Drive has been postponed due to rain. As of right now there is no reported makeup date.
MMN PLAYER of the NIGHT
Having a game that was a slugfest like the St.Lucie/Fort Myers game it is a bit easier choosing a player of the night. We’ll go with T.J. Rivera and his 4-for-6, 3 RBI game.
