The Mets just beat the Yankees 2-1 with a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth off Mariano Rivera who gave up three straight hits without recording an out. It was the first time Rivera has blown a save without registering an out. Wow..
Matt Harvey started and pitched what I thought was one of the best starts in his career. There was a good case for that one run he allowed to be unearned.
Harvey struck out ten and walked none in the game and was in jeopardy of being charged with his first loss of the season. But the baseball gods would have none of that and somehow the Mets pulled out the win against the best closer in baseball.
