The Mets who were spurned last night by Jorge Posada, reportedly had discussions with Seth Levinson who represents not only Posad, but Luis Castillo and Ramon Castro as well.

The Daily News reports that a potential 2-year deal is in the offing for backup catcher Ramon Castro.

Castro had his finest season as a Met last year and proved to be not only a capable backup for Paul Lo Duca, but a valuable bat off the bench as well.

He finished the season with career highs in Batting Average (.285), and Homeruns (11). In only 144 at-bats he drove in 31 runners and scored 24 with and OPS of .887.

We need to bring back Castro because he was a positive influence in the clubhouse and also called some great games for our pitchers.

Oh yeah, and one more thing, I would miss hearing the Darth Vader theme at Shea…
