The Mets have activated Seth Lugo from the injured list prior to tonight’s game against the Diamondbacks. Lugo was placed on the injured list with right shoulder tendinitis on May 20.

In 26 innings pitched this season, Lugo owns a 3.12 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. He also has a 2.95 FIP and a 11.8 K/9.

The Mets will send down Daniel Zamora to make room for Lugo. Zamora has a 6.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in six innings this year. During his last outing on May 27, he gave up three runs against the Dodgers while retiring only one batter.

Lugo’s return comes at a much-needed time for New York. The Mets’ bullpen struggled mightily during their series against the Dodgers, so having Lugo back in the fold will certainly be a huge plus.
