Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com reports that the Mets have activated Jeurys Familia from the 10-day disabled list and optioned Jacob Rhame to Triple-A Las Vegas as the corresponding move.
Familia, 28, was placed on the disabled list with a sore right shoulder retroactive to June 6th. In his last game pitched against the Orioles, he allowed one run on two hits in one inning, earning a loss.
After pitching just 24 2/3 innings in 2017 due to another right shoulder injury, he has pitched to a 2.48 ERA and 2.29 FIP across 29 innings and 14 saves this season. He has struck out 33, walked nine, and allowed 27 hits good for a 1.241 WHIP.
Meanwhile, Rhame, 25, has made 13 appearances for the Mets and has allowed ten runs in 13 1/3 innings pitched while striking out nine batters.
