Surprise Saguaros (7-1) 4, Scottsdale Scorpions (4-4) 3 Box Score

Making his third start behind the plate this season, runners continued to test Mazeika ability to control the running game. The Saguaros were able to steal two bases in this game, but, Mazeika was able to throw out Nationals speedster Luis Garcia; a top prospect who has stolen 80+ bases in each of the last two seasons.

On the season, Mazeika has caught 3-of-7 (43%) of attempted base stealers. Offensively, it was a bit of an unlucky night for Mazeika as he only ended up with one hit despite three hard-hit line drives. The one hit was an important one though as his 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning briefly gave the Scorpions the lead.

The Scorpions will play the Saguaros once again today with Mets top pitching prospect David Peterson scheduled to make the start. Jordan Humphreys is once again expected to piggy-back off of Peterson as well.
