MLB: Texas Rangers at Los Angeles AngelsThe first big trade of the summer went down this evening, as Mark Trumbo becomes the first big-name player to go off the board. Trumbo, in his second season with the Diamondbacks, will be headed to the Seattle Mariners in a six-player trade.

Trumbo, 29, is batting .259/.299/.506 with nine home runs, 10 doubles, and three triples in 184 plate appearances over 46 games. Last season, he hit just .235/.295/.415 with 14 homers in 88 games after averaging 32 homers per year in three full seasons with the Angels.

Along with Trumbo, the Mariners will acquire Vidal Nuno, a left-handed pitcher who posted a 4.56 ERA in 31 games (28 starts) between the Diamondbacks and Yankees last season.

In return, the Diamondbacks will receive 28 year-old catcher Wellington Castillo, relief pitcher Dominic Leone, as well as prospects Jack Reinheimer and Gabriel Guerrero. Leone had a fantastic season with the Mariners last year, posting a 2.17 ERA in 56 appearances while striking out 70 batters in 66.1 innings pitched.
