Mets President Sandy Alderson said it is very likely that Luis Rojas will remain with the Mets. However, he did not rule out the possibility that the new baseball operations chief might want to go in another direction.

Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News asked Steve Cohen what Rojas’ status would be heading into the next season. Cohen handed the question to Alderson, his baseball expert.

Rojas was hired by the Mets prior to last season after the team fired Carlos Beltran, shortly after hiring him due to his involvement in the Houston Astros scandal.

Under Rojas, the Mets finished with a disappointing 26-34 record during the COVID-shortened season.
