Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much to write about regarding Mets prospects playing well in the Arizona Fall League, with one of the few bright spots being Rowdey Jordan. That trend continued on Thursday with the Glendale Desert Dogs losing 9-6 to fall to a miserable 2-8 on the season, but Jordan had two hits, including his team-leading fourth double. Conversely, the struggles continued for the Mets’ top-catching prospect, Kevin Parada, defensively and offensively.

Jordan played left field on the night after starting three games at third base and two in left field during AFL action. During the regular season, Rowdey played 43 games at second base, 42 in center field, 14 in right field, nine in left field, and four at third base.

Regarding defense, limiting stolen bases continues to be an issue for Parada. The opposing team stole five bases against Parada for the second straight game, and he had a throwing error in this one. Teams stole 115 bases in 139 attempts against Parada during the regular season.

None of the Mets pitchers got into the game on Thursday, though righties Nolan Clenney (2 innings) and Trey McLoughlin (3 innings) have yet to allow a run for Glendale out of the bullpen.

The Desert Dogs are back in action on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. ET against the Scottsdale Scorpions.
