New York Mets left-handed relief pitcher, Justin Wilson, was scratched from his rehab outing with Short Season-A Brooklyn with what the team referred to as “left elbow tightness”.

Wilson, 31, initially hit the injured list on April 22, under the same affliction. The team activated Wilson (after no rehab outings) on May 6, only to place him on the IL retroactive to May 8 (May 11).

The veteran southpaw began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse on June 11 (two innings, one run allowed on three hits over two appearances) before heading to Brooklyn on June 14 and contributing a scoreless frame.

Wilson signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Mets this offseason but hasn’t had the chance to make a true impact as of yet (4.82 ERA, nine strikeouts, four walks over 9.1 innings; 10 appearances).
