Juan lagares

Juan Lagares did it again, making a another spectacular over the shoulder catch in center field on Thursday night to rob a stunned Jace Peterson of at least a double.

With a strong wind wreaking havoc, Lagares was on the run toward the center field wall chasing a deep drive by Peterson. Lagares turned to the left then to the right and then with his arm fully extended and outstretched, the ball found its way right into his glove. It was unbelievable and logic-defying.

“I have no idea how I made that catch,” Lagares said after the game. “I think that was the hardest one I’ve had to make so far. I really don’t know how I made that catch.”

“Unbelievable,” said an appreciative Dillon Gee who served up the pitch. “That’s amazing. I’m lucky enough I actually get paid to watch him do that on a daily basis.”

Lagares also singled in the eighth inning on a perfectly executed  hit-and-run that led to the winning run for the Mets, extending his hitting streak to a team-high nine games.

Enjoy watching it again and again. Once is not enough, it’s that good!
