Just when the New York Mets begin to get healthy, another key contributor goes down.

The latest injured Met is Jonathan Villar, who started his 27th-consecutive game today, but exited in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The 30-year-old infielder went 2-for-4 and scored two runs prior to leaving the game with an injury to his right hamstring. Villar flew out in the top of the sixth inning, so he likely aggravated his hamstring running on that play.

Michael Conforto and Jeff McNeil are both on the injured list right now with hamstring injuries, having both gone down in the same game back on May 16th. We will keep you updated on the severity of Villar’s injury as soon as we get more information.
