Mets’ minor league infielder Jeff McNeil has started to draw trade interest from other teams around the league, according to Matt Ehalt of The Record.

Although he has no prospect status to speak of and only 11 at-bats to his name as a member of the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s, the 26-year old McNeil comes off the heels of a torrid campaign with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in Double-A, where he hit .327/.402/.626 with 14 home runs and 43 RBI.

McNeil was recently called up alongside surging first base prospect Peter Alonso, but with his versatility between shortstop, second, and third base, could turn out a decent find for a competitive team looking to improve depth.

At the moment, there has not been any developing talk of promoting either McNeil or Alonso beyond Vegas, but with other teams now catching wind of McNeil’s breakout season, it may become harder for the organization to continue prolonging a move of some kind.
