Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports left-handed reliever Jake McGee will be re-signing with the Colorado R0ckies pending a physical.

Last year, McGee rebounded from a tough 2016 season. In 62 appearances, he was 0-2 with a 3.61 ERA, 1.099 WHIP, and a 9.1 K/9.

While McGee pitched well against left-handed hitters limiting them to a .260/.313/.377 batting line, he was more effective against right-handed batters limiting them to a .203/.262/.323 batting line.

McGee staying with the Rockies could be quite surprising as he has had noticeable home/road splits.  He had a 4.73 ERA at Coors as opposed to a 2.64 ERA on the road.

With McGee re-signing with the Rockies, he becomes the second high profile reliever to sign with the club.  Just yesterday, the Rockies added former Indians reliever, and noted top Mets target, Bryan Shaw to a three year deal worth roughly $9 million per season.
