The minor league season is also underway, and Jacob shared some of his his thoughts on Mets prospects so far this season:
“To me, Port St Lucie is a good example of where this organization is heading as a player development operation. The top levels of the minors are a product of where the Mets have been in in the past few years, but when you look at the lower levels you see where the team has made progress in international signings and the top couple of rounds [in the draft], and being able to develop some of these guys using advanced metrics.”
