Mets fans, an all new episode is here!

Patrick Glynn joins Mike and I once again this week for some great conversations on Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom‘s spring training debuts, Starling Marte‘s durability questions, and more!

After being spotted in right field during sim-game yesterday, it’s been reported that we could see new Met Starling Marte play a lot of right field this season with Brandon Nimmo in center.

While that may have come as a shock to most of us, Mike believes this is the best way to get the most out of Marte:

“You go out and get a guy like Marte because he’s a good player. They didn’t sign him because he’s a stellar defensive center fielder because he’s not, which is why ultimately the Mets feel comfortable with Nimmo in center field. He (Nimmo) was better in center field by virtually every defensive metric last season over Marte and I don’t think that’s going to change much. I do think Marte is still a good fit for this team, they needed a top of the lineup guy who’s going to get on base and they wanted speed…Marte has a chance to be a really good defender in right.”
