Shortstop Francisco Lindor is a finalist for the Gold Glove Award in the National League. He breaks the Mets five-year streak of having no finalist at any position.
Despite fine defensive seasons from Mets pitchers Marcus Stroman and Taijuan Walker (led NL with seven defensive runs saved), neither of them were a finalist. Walker fell just a few innings short (pitched 138 2/3 innings at game 142, but needed 142) of qualifying for the award.
