MLB Pipeline released their midseason Top 100 Prospects list this week, which features four Mets farmhands who should all make an impact at the major league level in the near future.

40. Brandon Sproat
Sproat has quickly made a name for himself and worked his way through the Mets’ farm system at a rapid pace. Drafted in the second round of the 2023 MLB draft, the 23-year-old University of Florida alum was promoted to Triple-A Syracuse earlier this month after beginning the year playing with High-A Brooklyn.
So far this season between three levels, Sproat is 6-3 with a 2.55 ERA. Over 95 1/3 innings, he has given up just 27 earned runs on 60 hits and has struck out 116 hitters. He struggled in his Syracuse debut last week against the Worcester Red Sox, giving up a season-high six earned runs before being ejected from his second outing. In his final appearance for Double-A Binghamton, however, he punched out a season-high 13 batters over five innings.
Sproat was selected to the 2024 Futures Game and named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week (July 29 – Aug. 4).

57. Jett Williams
Williams split the 2023 season between Low-A St. Lucie, Brooklyn and Binghamton. Between the three levels, he batted .263/.425/.451, with a .876 OPS. He recorded 22 doubles, eight triples, 13 home runs, 104 walks, 55 RBIs and 81 runs. He also accrued 45 stolen bases and was only caught seven times. Once he gets on base, the speedy 20-year-old is hard to catch.
He was named to the All-MiLB Prospect Second Team in 2023 and was also named a Mets’ MiLB.com Organization All-Star.
Williams has only appeared in 11 games this season for Double-A Binghamton. He was placed on the seven-day injured list on April 29 with a right wrist injury and was moved to the 60-day injured list last week.

81. Drew Gilbert
Gilbert burst on the scene upon being acquired from Houston in a deal for Justin Verlander at the 2023 trade deadline, finishing the year hitting .325/.423/.561 over 35 games with Binghamton.
Gilbert was assigned to Triple-A Syracuse out of spring training this year, but was placed on the injured list with a hamstring strain in April. He was later activated on July 23 and spent time rehabbing in the Florida Complex League and with St. Lucie before returning to Syracuse.
So far in 2024, he is batting .196/.330/.261 for a .591 OPS in 28 games. He has three doubles, a home run and five RBIs.

82. Ryan Clifford
Clifford arrived alongside Gilbert in 2023 as part of the Verlander trade from Houston. He has split the 2024 season between Brooklyn and Binghamton, batting .215/.365/.401, with a .766 OPS. He has hit 22 doubles, 14 home runs, driven in 51 runs, walked 77 times and scored 55 runs.
Clifford possesses a ton of raw power, giving him tantalizing upside as the potential first baseman or designated hitter of the future for the Mets should he not stick in the outfield long-term.
