With two outs in the bottom of the first and the Washington Nationals ahead 3-0, New York Mets first baseman Wilmer Flores walked off the field after Daniel Murphy‘s single and headed straight for the dugout.

Phillip Evans entered the game immediately, making his first professional appearance at the position.

A short time later, the Mets announced that Flores left the game with a bout of dehydration and dizziness.

Flores, 26, is hitting .262/.318/.440 with nine home runs, 34 runs batted in, and 17 doubles this season while mostly playing first base.
