Eric Niesen On His Release

I know this is a little late coming, but I wanted to pass along this quote from the recently-released Mets prospect Eric Niesen. After the positive feedback that was received in response to my interview with Niesen this past summer, I asked him to give us a few parting words as he leaves the Mets organization:

I just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the support over the years that I was with the Mets, and even though I am disappointed at this time I know God has a better plan for me. His promise in Proverbs 3:5-6 says

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.”

I will continue to use my baseball talents and see where God takes me. He will amaze me I’m sure.
