Major League Baseball announced on Friday afternoon that the entire Subway Series scheduled to play this weekend between the Mets and Yankees at Citi Field, has been postponed.
The Mets had their game vs the Marlins on Thursday postponed after learning that one player and one staff member tested positive for Covid-19. The identity of the player is unknown.
The Mets flew back to New York on Thursday night, except for the two people that tested positive and those traced to have close contact with them.
Mets staff and players that flew back last night were tested upon arrival and again this morning.
Next up on the schedule is the Mets hosting the Marlins at Citi Field beginning on Tuesday. Both the Yankees and Mets currently have a scheduled off-day on Monday.
