The 2021 playoffs are in full swing on Friday with four games scheduled starting at 2 p.m. ET in the afternoon and bringing us right into the weekend with a 9:37 p.m. ET game.

Both of the American League series got underway on Thursday night while the two National League series kick off tonight.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX (0-1) at HOUSTON ASTROS (1-0)
RHP Lucas Giolito (11-9, 3.53 ERA) vs. LHP Framber Valdez (11-6, 3.14 ERA)
Game #2 2:07 p.m. ET – Minute Maid Park – MLB Network

The Astros took Game One of the series behind 6 2/3 scoreless innings from Lance McCullers Jr. and two extra base hits from Yordan Alvarez. Michael Brantley, Carlos Correa, and Jake Meyers each had two hits in the game for Houston.

The White Sox offense was led by two hits each from Jose Abreu and Luis Robert. Starter Lance Lynn allowed five runs in just 3 2/3 innings.

MILWAUKEE BREWERS (95-67) vs. ATLANTA BRAVES (88-73)
RHP Corbin Burnes (11-5, 2.43) vs. RHP Charlie Morton (14-6, 3.34)
 4:37 p.m. ET – American Family Field – Milwaukee, WI – TBS

The National League central champs host the National League East champs in Game One of their series. The one surprise player not to see on the Brewers roster is left-handed pitcher Brent Suter. The Brewers are saying he has a right oblique strain.

The Braves decided to leave right-handed relievers Chris Martin and Richard Rodriguez off their NLDS roster.

Red Sox (0-1) vs. Rays (1-0)
LHP Chris Sale (5-1, 3.16) vs. RHP Shane Baz (2-0, 2.03)
7:02 p.m. ET – Tropicana Field – St. Petersburg, FL – MLB Network

It was the Randy Arozarena show on Thursday night when the Rays took the first game of the series by a 5-0 score. Arozarena became the first player in postseason history to hit a home run and steal home in the same game. Phenom Wander Franco also had two hits and rookie starter Shane McClanahan pitched five scoreless innings.

Dodgers (106-56) vs. Giants (107-55)
RHP Walker Buehler (14-6, 2.47) vs RHP Logan Webb (11-3, 3.03)
9:37 p.m. ET – Oracle Park – San Francisco, CA – TBS

Remarkably, the rival Dodgers and Giants will play their first postseason history and following a regular season when they were the two best teams in baseball.

The Dodgers roster includes former Mets Justin Turner and Billy McKinney. Former Met walk-off hero Wilmer Flores is part of a veteran Giants roster.
